These conditions apply throughout the duration of their posting by France-Caviar.com. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you read and understood the general conditions of sale on the site www.france-caviar.com. All orders implies acceptance of these terms without reservation. These general conditions of sale prevail over all other conditions contained in any other document.

 

(19)  Products

Photographs or videos illustrating the products are intended for guidance only and are not necessarily displayed to scale or exact colour definition. Graphic depictions may not, therefore, be identical to actual products and should be used for general guidance only. The customer is informed that the weight of the products listed on the product page may very slightly vary. No claim may be made regarding this. 

THE SALE OF ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED TO PEOPLE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE. ALCOHOL ABUSE IS DANGEROUS FOR YOUR HEALTH.

 

(20)  Order

The ordering process involves the following steps:

• Adding your desired items into your shopping cart

• Your validation of purchase 

• Filling a form and providing information required for billing and delivery (Personal data are protected under the Data Protection Act, and are not used by third parties).

• Completing payment

• Order is considered as accepted after receiving email confirmation from France-Caviar.com.

Customer will be notified by email of any stock shortages that could affect the order. In this case, the product will be refunded within a reasonable time. The order has to be placed online. Customers can complete payment online or over the phone. 

The information provided by a customer are being processed by automatic systems and considered as proof of an order being placed, its content and date. 

France-Caviar.com reserves the right to verify provided information prior to confirming the order and delivery. This check does not have to occur. When it occurs, the customer will be notified by email within 24 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) following receipt of the order.

France-Caviar.com reserves the right to cancel any order that was placed by a customer with whom there is a dispute over payment for a previous order. The online payment is then offset with amounts due under previous orders.

The Customer is responsible for information provided while placing the order and should ensure that these information are correct and not used for fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence. France-Caviar.com cannot be held responsible if information provided by a customer unables delivery or leads to delays delivery or unlawful activities. 

 

(21)  Shipping

Delivery will be recorded and made primarily by FedEx or Chronopost (from France) or Royal Mail (from the UK). In special cases France-Caviar.com might use another carrier. For Deliveries in France or UK, we will typically send recorded and guaranteed by the following day at 13h00.

Delivery is made within specified time, directly to the address provided. You are informed about the delivery date and time slot. In case the product was not delivered due to your absence, you will have to arrange a collection from the point indicated on the calling card. If order is not collected within a stipulated time, the parcel will be returned. Transportation costs and management will be invoiced before sending new products and your order will not be refunded in any case.

The seller cannot be held responsible for delivering goods within specified time if a delivery is affected by bad weather, accidents and other situation that are not foreseen or in its control.

The customer should always check the content and condition of a package upon arrival.

The customer has 3 days from delivery to address his objections. The customer has the right of return faulty product(s) in accordance with these terms and conditions.

It might happen that due to stock level, items in your order will delivered separately. In this case you will be charged for one delivery only, regardless on number of parcels sent to you. 

However if you would like certain items to be delivered to different addresses, you must place two separate orders and delivery charge for each address will apply.

For security reasons, the company name will not appear on packages sent to you. 

For packages that are originating from our company, please refer to the address on those below. France-Caviar.com does not accept any responsibility for the state of a parcel that is sent back to a courier depot due to a recipient not being at the shipment address.

 

(22)  Right of withdrawal

You have 7 days (from receipt of items) to change your mind. If you request a product to be exchanged or refunded, you must return the product in its original packaging, undamaged with all accessories at one of the following addresses:

Upon exercise of the right of withdrawal, France-Caviar.com reimburse the amount you paid except the cost of return shipping and the first shipment. Repayment is due within 15 days. .

• If the customer returns the unopened package: France-Caviar.com reimburses the package’s products.

• If the customer returns the product due to malfunction or nonconformity to the information that customer provided, France-Caviar.com refunds the cost of product, shipping and potential costs of return shipping.

• If the customer wishes to return a product that is not faulty: France-Caviar.com reimburse the product but shipping fees are at the customer’s cost.

 

(23)  Delivery of caviar for France and the European community

Our products are being shipped in special, insulated boxes, with ice packs inserted. This is how we ensure that content of the parcel is properly preserved and transported at the right temperature. Upon receipt of your package, immediately place your caviar in the refrigerator, on a bed of crushed ice. Beware that contact with the lemon juice (or any acid) or any metal instrument would irreparably affect the taste of caviar. You should eat caviar using a pearl or plastic spoon.

 

(24)  Postage and packaging

Prices of each article do not include shipping. Shipping cost at fixed rate is added at checkout.

The final price is specified in the order confirmation and is inclusive of price of items, packaging, delivery, handling of goods, all taxes and VAT. 

 

(25)  Special offers 

Please note that special offers (voucher codes) are restricted to one per order.

 

(26)  Payment

The price charged to the customer is the price indicated on the order confirmation sent by France-Caviar.com and is payable on the day of the order. Payment is taken via secure online payment system PayPal, either online or on the phone.

The order validated by the customer will be considered effective after being accepted by the payment centre. If the payment is being refused by payment centre, the order will be cancelled and the customer notified by email.

In addition, France-Caviar.com reserves the right to not accept any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute.

 

(27)  Liability

This contract is subject to law.

France-Caviar.com cannot be held liable for damages of any kind, whether tangible or intangible property, which may result from improper use of products marketed or abnormal use.

In case of dispute, the customer should first contact the company to obtain an amicable solution.

 

(28)  Legal Information

Collecting data from minors must be authorised by parents. Information is collected for purposes of distance selling is required, this information is essential for processing and delivery orders, preparing invoices and warranty contracts. The lack of information results in the cancellation of the order.

Under British law, sale of alcohol to minors under 18 year old is prohibited. France-Caviar.com is legally obliged to refuse selling or supplying of alcohol to anyone aged under 18.

Anyone ordering alcoholic products from France-Caviar.com web site is committed to having 18 years of age at the time of order.(Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Consume in moderation).
